So this is what I’ve been doing all week!  It took my mom and I about 30 hours to put this Tokidoki mural up in my sister’s bedroom.

The world of Tokidoki is all about detail. ;)   Its designer is a talented italian artist who has produced an array of amazingly CUTE merchandises since 2005, including all sorts of accessories from shoes to shirts, stuffed animals, pillowcases, jewelry and the like. Check out the unofficial but highly informed Tokidoki-blog.com for a sample of the awesome designer items.  Me, my sister, and my mom all love it!

Many people know the brand best by their best-selling official Lesportsac bags produced from 2006 to 2008.  My mom fell in love with these bags last year and amassed a collection of them! o___o  Fortunately, the lady who runs Tokidoki-blog.com has done an amazing job of archiving every kind of Tokidoki for Lesportsac item that’s been made.  Since they’ve stopped producing official Lesportsac Tokidoki merch, the only way to find it is either through eBay or to get a fake version of the old print at your local Chinatown or swap meet.  The fake ones usuallygo for about $25 vs. the range of $100-350 for official bags.  :) I have to admit, a couple years ago I spent $250 on one for myself– the Hawaiian-style Spiaggia print. See a sample of it:

The main inspiration for the tree idea came from Legno’s Foresta print, see sample:
